Hi all, first time poster so apologies in advance if this is the wrong area.

I have a Samsung UN50EH6000F purchased in Canada. I've connected it to my UK Sony BDP S470 blu-ray player, and have the following issues:

  • UK DVDs give a "mode not supported - resolution not supported" error
  • UK BDs in 1080p play fine, but a 1080i BD gives the same error as DVDs
  • Connected via HDMI, but I get the same error when trying with Compenent
  • The UK DVDs play fine via a UK Xbox 360.
  • Also tried with a Phillips DVD player, and the UK DVDs work fine.

So basically, the issue seems to be isolated to UK DVDs and 1080i BDs playing through the Sony BDP s470 only, via both HDMI and Component. I've looked through the menu options on both the TV and BD player, but no luck.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks,
Shin
